MEAN WELL APC-35-350 Constant Current LED Power Supply
The MEAN WELL APC-35-350 is a single-output AC/DC constant current LED power supply providing 350 mA constant current over a 28-100 V DC operating range, with a catalog rated power of 35 W. It accepts 90-264 VAC or 127-370 VDC and uses a fully isolated IP42 plastic enclosure cooled by free-air convection. Select an LED load requiring 350 mA and having a total operating voltage within 28-100 V DC. The supply regulates current; do not select it as a fixed-voltage supply. Keep within the stated operating-voltage, power and derating limits.

APC-35-350 |
| Series and model code |
APC-35 is the product series. The final code 350 identifies the 350 mA output current. The series wattage designation is not a substitute for this model's actual rated output power. |
| Operating mode |
Constant current. Select an LED load requiring 350 mA and having a total operating voltage within 28-100 V DC. The supply regulates current; do not select it as a fixed-voltage supply. Keep within the stated operating-voltage, power and derating limits. |
| Intended application |
LED-related fixtures or appliances, such as decoration or advertising devices. The manufacturer states that this product is not intended for LED lighting luminaire applications in the EU and China. |
| Application qualification |
Use the supply as a component in the final equipment. The equipment manufacturer must assess the complete installation and re-qualify EMC performance with the load, wiring and enclosure. |

Input and supply planning
| Parameter |
Details |
| Input range |
90-264 VAC, 47-63 Hz; alternatively 127-370 VDC. Apply the input-voltage derating curve. |

| Leakage current |
0.25 mA at 240 VAC. |
| Input-voltage derating |
At 60 Hz, the static-characteristic curve shows 80% load at 90 VAC, rising to 100% at 100 VAC; 100% is shown from 100 to 264 VAC. Apply the more restrictive thermal/load condition at the same time. |
| Short-duration input withstand |
Withstands 300 VAC surge input for 5 seconds. This is a brief input-withstand specification, not a continuous input rating or an output peak-power allowance. |
| 16 A circuit-breaker reference |
At 230 VAC the catalog lists up to 5 units on a Type B 16 A circuit breaker, or 9 units on a Type C 16 A circuit breaker. Use this reference with the actual circuit and installation requirements. |
Protection and fault behavior
| Parameter |
Details |

Short-circuit protection is listed among the model features. |
| Overvoltage protection |
110-130 V; output shutdown; re-power on to recover. |
| Thermal operating limits |
Maintain the required ventilation and derate load as ambient temperature rises. Do not treat the upper ambient rating as a full-load rating. |
Environment and derating

| Cooling and temperature derating |
Free-air convection, with the horizontal orientation shown in the drawing. Full load is shown up to +40°C, then decreases linearly to 60% load at +70°C. Keep the input-voltage derating limit at the same time. |
| Altitude derating |
Above 2000 m (6500 ft), reduce the allowable ambient temperature by 3.5°C per 1000 m for this fanless design. |
| Working humidity |

| Body dimensions |
84 x 57 x 29.5 mm (L x W x H); drawing tolerance ±1 mm. |
| Mounting outline |
Case PCD16A; two mounting features are marked Ø3.6 mm with Ø8.9 mm surrounding features. Use the mechanical drawing for the offset mounting positions. |
| Input leads |
UL1569, 18 AWG; 150 ±10 mm. Brown = AC/L; blue = AC/N. |

| DC-input polarity |
DC input is rated 127-370 VDC. Before DC connection, obtain the manufacturer polarity instructions for this exact model; do not assume the L/N-to-positive/negative mapping from another model. |
| Installation |
Class II design with no FG connection. Before installation or maintenance, disconnect the supply from the utility and prevent inadvertent reconnection. Keep proper ventilation around the unit and do not stack objects on it. When an adjacent device is a heat source, maintain 10-15 cm clearance. Keep lead-wire connections insulated and mechanically secured, and select approved cables rated for at least the unit current. Nonstandard mounting orientations or high ambient temperature require output-current derating. The installation manual limits APC/APV to equipment with a primary use other than lighting, such as copiers or overhead projectors, or to scale and display lighting; also observe the regional luminaire restriction above. |
| Case-temperature point |
The mechanical drawing identifies the tc / T case measurement point. Its location dimensions are not temperature limits. |
| Connection and mounting items |
This is a wired power-supply module. Select suitable connection and mounting hardware for the final equipment using the lead specifications and mechanical drawing above. |
