MEAN WELL HRP-300-15 is an enclosed single-output AC/DC power supply rated at 15 V, 22 A and 330 W, with active PFC and remote sensing. It uses a built-in cooling fan with ON/OFF control and provides a DC-OK output-status signal. Observe the input-voltage, ambient-temperature and output limits together.

| Load regulation |
±0.5% |
| Efficiency, typical |
88% at 230 VAC, rated load and 25°C |
HRP-300 is the series designation; the final 15 suffix identifies the nominal output voltage. The series number is not the exact output-power rating: this model is rated 330 W.
Unless otherwise stated, parameters are measured at 230 VAC, rated load and 25°C ambient. Voltage tolerance includes set-up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation. Ripple/noise is measured at 20 MHz bandwidth with a 12-inch twisted pair terminated by 0.1 µF and 47 µF capacitors in parallel.
Input and Timing
| Input voltage |
85 to 264 VAC / 120 to 370 VDC |
| AC frequency |
47 to 63 Hz |
| Power factor, typical |
>0.95 at 230 VAC; >0.99 at 115 VAC, at full load |
| AC current, typical |
3.5 A at 115 VAC; 1.8 A at 230 VAC |
| Inrush current, typical |
35 A at 115 VAC; 70 A at 230 VAC |
| Leakage current |
<1.2 mA at 240 VAC |
| Setup / rise time |
1000 / 50 ms at 230 VAC; 2500 / 50 ms at 115 VAC, at full load |
| Hold-up time, typical |
16 ms at both 230 VAC and 115 VAC, at full load |
The unit withstands 300 VAC input for 5 seconds; this is a short-duration condition and does not extend the continuous input range. The block diagram includes active inrush-current limiting and a 70 kHz PWM switching frequency.
The 60 Hz input-derating graph shows 80% load at 85 VAC, rising to 100% at 100 VAC; full load continues through 264 VAC. Follow the drawn segment between these points and apply temperature derating as well.
Protection
| Protection functions |
Short circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature |
| Overload |
105 to 135% of rated output power; constant-current limiting with automatic recovery after the fault is removed |
| Overvoltage threshold |
18.8 to 21.8 V |
| Overvoltage response |
Output shuts down; re-power to recover |
| Overtemperature response |
Output shuts down; automatic recovery after the temperature goes down |
The overload threshold is a protection setting, not permission for continuous overload or a separate peak-power rating.
Cooling and Operating Conditions
| Cooling |
Built-in cooling fan with ON/OFF control |
| Working ambient temperature |
-40 to +70°C with load derating |
| Working humidity |
20 to 90% RH, non-condensing |
| Storage temperature / humidity |
-40 to +85°C / 10 to 95% RH |
| Temperature coefficient |
±0.03%/°C from 0 to 50°C |
| Vibration |
10 to 500 Hz, 5G; 10 minutes/cycle, 60 minutes each along X, Y and Z |
The horizontal-installation thermal curve permits 100% load from -40°C to +50°C, then declines to 50% at +70°C. The highest working temperature is a reduced-load condition.
For operation above 2000 m, apply an additional 5°C ambient-temperature derating per 1000 m for this fan-cooled model. This note does not establish an independent maximum operating-altitude rating.
The typical fan-ON condition is load 35±15% or internal RTH2 temperature at least 50°C. RTH2 is an internal sensing point, not the ambient-temperature threshold. Preserve the fan airflow path toward the end opposite the connection terminals.
Remote Sense
| CN100 pin 7 / pin 8 |
+S / -S |
Built-in positive and negative remote-sense connections are identified in the mechanical and block diagrams. Use the matching +S and -S polarity for the load-sensing circuit and keep signal wiring distinct from the main power wiring.
DC-OK Output Status
| DC-OK / signal return |
CN100 pin 3 / pin 5 GND |
| PSU ON indication |
3.3 to 5.6 V |
| PSU OFF indication |
0 to 1 V |
Use the dedicated DC-OK and GND connections shown in the connector table. The signal is an output-status indication, not a power output.
Terminals and Connector Selection
| Power terminals |
1 AC/L; 2 AC/N; 3 FG; 4–5 DC -V; 6–7 DC +V |
| CN100 signal assignment |
pin 1 NC; pin 2 NC; pin 3 DC-OK; pin 4 NC; pin 5 GND; pin 6 NC; pin 7 +S; pin 8 -S |
| CN100 header reference |
HRS DF11-08DP-2DS or equivalent |
| Mating-housing reference |
HRS DF11-8DS or equivalent |
| Contact reference |
HRS DF11-**SC or equivalent |
Retain the printed connector identifiers when selecting compatible parts. The ** in HRS DF11-**SC is a family placeholder, not a complete contact order code; choose the exact contact and wire-size variant from the connector manufacturer before ordering. Do not add an unprinted suffix.
The connector table does not establish that mating housings, contacts, cables, brackets or mounting screws are included. No separate MEAN WELL accessory order code is listed in these model pages. NC denotes an unassigned pin; keep it unconnected.
Dimensions and Installation
| Body dimensions, L × W × H |
199 × 105 × 41 mm |
| Case / drawing tolerance |
980A / ±1 mm |
| Terminal projection / flange envelope |
17 mm maximum terminal projection; 125 mm width across the mounting flanges |
| Mounting callouts |
4-M4 L=5 on the bottom and 4-M4 L=6 on each indicated side view |
| Selected hole-centre dimensions |

| Power-terminal drawing dimensions |
The terminal drawing labels 11 mm and 9.2 mm; follow the drawing for their exact locations. |
Use the linked mechanical drawing for the complete pattern and connection clearances. L values are the thread-depth annotations for the indicated holes; the callouts are not quantities of supplied screws or separate accessory codes. Allow for mounting-surface thickness when selecting screws.
The mechanical drawing identifies the local voltage-adjustment control and LED. Keep line, neutral, protective/frame ground, DC power and low-level signal connections distinct.
