Model and Output

Complete model / catalogue MSP-200-24; MSP-200 revision 2024-10-30. The final code identifies the nominal 24 V output.
Rated DC output 24 V / 8.4 A / 201.6 W. Current range at nominal voltage: 0–8.4 A.
Voltage adjustment 21.6–28.8 V using SVR1. Observe rated current and power when adjusting voltage.
Ripple and noise 150 mVp-p maximum; 20 MHz bandwidth, a 12-inch twisted pair terminated by parallel 0.1 µF and 47 µF capacitors.
Voltage tolerance ±1.0%; includes setup tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
Line / load regulation ±0.2% / ±0.5%, respectively.
Typical efficiency 88%, under the default 230 VAC, rated-load and 25°C test conditions.

The 200 series designation is not a promise of that wattage at every output voltage. Use this model’s 201.6 W rating together with its current limit and both derating curves.

Input, Timing and Low-load Consumption

Input / frequency 85–264 VAC or 120–370 VDC; 47–63 Hz AC. Full-range input with built-in active PFC.
Typical power factor >0.95 at 230 VAC and >0.99 at 115 VAC, at full load.
Typical AC input current 2.2 A at 115 VAC; 1.1 A at 230 VAC.
Typical inrush current 35 A at 115 VAC; 70 A at 230 VAC. The block diagram includes active inrush-current limiting.
Short-duration input withstand 300 VAC surge input for 5 seconds, as the feature list states. This does not extend the continuous 264 VAC input limit.
Setup / rise at full load 230 VAC: 1000 / 50 ms; 115 VAC: 2500 / 50 ms.
Typical hold-up at full load 16 ms at 230 VAC; 16 ms at 115 VAC.
No-load input power <0.5 W with RC+ and RC− shorted so that the main output is OFF, as specified in note 6.

Unless otherwise stated, specifications are measured at 230 VAC input, rated load and 25°C ambient.

Protection

Short circuit / overload Short-circuit and overload protection; threshold 105–135% of rated output power. Constant-current limiting, with automatic recovery after the fault is removed.
Over-voltage 30–34.8 V; output shutdown, with re-powering required to recover.
Over-temperature Output shutdown with automatic recovery after temperature decreases.

Protection thresholds are fault-response limits, not continuous or peak-output ratings.

Remote Control and Power Connections

Remote ON/OFF logic CN100 pin 1 RC+ and pin 2 RC−: 4–10 VDC or open = ON; 0–0.8 VDC or short = OFF.
AC / earth terminals Terminal 1: AC/L; terminal 2: AC/N; terminal 3: FG protective earth.
DC output terminals Terminals 4–5: −V; terminals 6–7: +V. Use the numbered mechanical drawing for polarity.
CN100 signals 1 RC+; 2 RC−; 3 AUX; 4 AUXG; 5 +S; 6 −S.

Use the remote-control logic specified for this family; it must not be inferred from another MSP series.

Remote Sense and Auxiliary Output

Remote sense CN100 pin 5 +S connects to the positive load terminal; pin 6 −S connects to the negative load terminal. Twist +S and −S together to reduce noise pickup. Maximum line-drop compensation: 0.5 V.
Standby specification 5 V at up to 0.3 A; tolerance ±5%; ripple 50 mVp-p maximum. The function table states 4.75–5.25 V.
Auxiliary connections Pin 3 AUX is referenced to pin 4 AUXG. AUXG is isolated from the main +V and −V output terminals.
Auxiliary behavior The auxiliary output includes built-in ORing diodes and is not controlled by the main-output remote ON/OFF function.

Connect sensing leads at the load as shown on PDF page 5. The auxiliary ORing statement does not establish a main-output active-current-sharing function for MSP-200.

Cooling, Derating and Environment

Cooling Free-air convection; keep ventilation openings unobstructed. The specified curves are for horizontal mounting.
Working temperature / thermal load −40°C to +70°C, subject to derating. The horizontal curve shows 100% load through +40°C, then falls to 40% at +70°C.
Input-voltage load curve At 60 Hz, the graph rises from 80% load at 85 VAC to its full-load plateau at 100 VAC, continuing to 264 VAC. Apply this percentage to the model’s own output rating.
Altitude derating For this fanless model, reduce allowable ambient temperature by 3.5°C per additional 1000 m above 2000 m. This adjustment is not an independently specified maximum operating altitude.
Humidity / storage Working: 20–90% RH, non-condensing. Storage: −40°C to +85°C, 10–95% RH.
Temperature coefficient ±0.03%/°C over 0–50°C.
Vibration 10–500 Hz, 5G; 10 minutes per cycle, 60 minutes along each X, Y and Z axis.

Input and ambient derating apply together. The maximum working temperature is not a full-load guarantee.

Medical Isolation, Leakage and EMC

Isolation levels Primary to secondary: 2×MOOP; primary to earth: 1×MOOP.
Leakage-current limits Earth leakage <300 µA at 264 VAC; touch leakage <100 µA at 264 VAC. Touch current is measured from primary input to DC output.
Withstand voltage Input–output: 4 kVAC; input–FG: 2 kVAC; output–FG: 0.5 kVAC.
Insulation resistance 100 MΩ at 500 VDC, 25°C and 70% RH, for input–output, input–FG and output–FG.
Other design references BS EN/EN60335-1 and BS EN/EN62368-1 are design references by request; they are distinct from the listed medical approvals.
EMC emissions BS EN/EN55011 (CISPR11) Class B; BS EN/EN61000-3-2 and -3; EAC TP TC020.
EMC immunity BS EN/EN61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -8, -11; BS EN/EN55035; BS EN/EN60601-1-2; EAC TP TC020.

These MOOP and leakage statements describe the supply under the stated tests; they do not establish MOPP, a patient-applied-part classification, or compliance of a complete medical device. The MSP-200 isolation-level row does not assign a separate secondary-to-earth MOOP level.

The manufacturer’s EMC tests mount the unit on a 360 × 360 mm metal plate, 1 mm thick. As this supply is a component of final equipment, reconfirm EMC compliance after integration.

Mechanical Installation, Connectors and Weight
