XBG-100-AB constant-power LED driver

MEAN WELL XBG-100-AB is a 100 W AC/DC constant-power LED driver for bay, stage and spot lighting. Its default output current is 2100 mA, with a 27–56 V constant-current operating region. The metal round housing is IP67-rated and cooled by free-air convection. Select the LED load within the combined voltage, current, power and temperature limits. Built-in potentiometer adjusts the output operating point. AB adds isolated 3-in-1 dimming with dim-to-off: 0–10 VDC, 10 V PWM or resistance.

Isolated 3-in-1 dimming

Installation manual requirements

Installation safety	Disconnect the mains supply and prevent accidental reconnection before installation or maintenance. Have faults examined by a qualified technician; do not open the power-supply case yourself.
Ventilation and mounting	Keep ventilation clear and do not stack objects on the unit. Keep 10–15 cm clearance when the adjacent device is a heat source. Follow this model’s mounting, ambient-temperature and output-derating requirements.
System wiring and protection	Use approved primary and secondary wiring rated for at least the applicable unit current. Provide suitable system-level insulation and an enclosure around single-insulated wiring; verify EMC again in the completed system.
Environmental and load limits	Do not immerse the unit or install it near fire or above its specified ambient limit. Keep output current and power within the model’s rated operating envelope. If a fitted external flexible cable is damaged, replacement is limited to the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
Connection seals and support	If waterproof connectors are fitted, secure their connections to prevent water entry. Verify the mounting structure and luminaire strength; use safety cables for bay-light applications.
Protective-earth installation	Connect the fitted FG/PE conductor or connector terminal to protective earth according to this exact model’s wiring diagram.
Weather protection	This IP67 model with an output adjustment device must be installed indoors or in a location sheltered from rain outdoors, as required by the installation manual. The IP rating does not permit immersion.
Dimming isolation	This model’s catalog explicitly specifies an isolated 3-in-1 dimming circuit. Follow its analog DIM interface; do not substitute the HBG nonisolated-interface instruction.
Control-circuit installation	The catalog control conductors are 22 AWG, smaller than 18 AWG. The installation manual requires connection only to a SELV controller or network for such standalone dimming conductors; contact MEAN WELL before using FELV control. Verify compatibility with this exact analog or digital interface.

Lifetime reference curve	Approximately 100,000 hours at Tcase ≤65°C, 70,000 at 70°C, 50,000 at 75°C and 35,000 at 80°C. Approximately 25,000 hours at 85°C. These are readings of the reference curve, not an extension of the warranty or a guarantee at every operating point.
