HBG-60-1050 circular LED driver
MEAN WELL HBG-60-1050 is a circular AC/DC constant-current LED driver for LED high-bay, low-bay, stage and spotlight luminaires. It supplies 1050 mA over a 37–55 V constant-current window, with a catalog rated output of 57.75 W and maximum open-circuit voltage of 60 V. Built-in output-current adjustment. Match the LED load to the current, voltage window and power limit, and observe input and temperature derating.

Thermal and environmental limits
Parameter
Model-specific information
Cooling and case temperature
Fanless free-air convection; operating case temperature −40°C to +85°C; maximum case temperature +85°C. These are case-temperature limits, not unconditional ambient full-load ratings.
Temperature/load conditions
Horizontal installation: 100% load from −40°C through +60°C ambient, then derate to 65% at +70°C. The case-temperature graph permits 100% through +85°C and ends there.
Input/load derating
At 60 Hz: 90 VAC permits 80% load, rising to 100% at 100 VAC and remaining at 100% through 295 VAC.
Lifetime conditions
Catalog typical life expectancy exceeds 50,000 hours when the designated tc/TMP point is about 80°C or lower. The illustrated lifetime is about 50,000 h at 80°C and falls further as case temperature rises. Graph estimates are not an extension of the operating-temperature ratings.
Temperature coefficient
±0.03%/°C from 0°C to +60°C.
Humidity and storage
Working: 20–95% RH, non-condensing. Storage: −40°C to +80°C, 10–95% RH.
Altitude derating
Above 2000 m, reduce allowable ambient temperature by 3.5°C per additional 1000 m for this fanless driver.
Vibration
10–500 Hz, 5 G; 12 minutes per cycle, 72 minutes along each X, Y and Z axis.
MTBF reference
4523.2 K hours minimum, Telcordia SR-332; 455.5 K hours minimum, MIL-HDBK-217F at 25°C. MTBF is distinct from service lifetime.

Mechanical safety
Inspect the driver for cracks if the package is damaged. Do not drop or bump it. Fit every screw, including the suspension screw, with a spring washer and tighten securely. The complete luminaire, including this driver, must weigh 5 kg or less. A safety cable is required. Protect the luminaire against shock during packaging and transportation.
Unit reference mass
500 g, converted from the catalog PACKING per-unit reference (0.5 kg); not an individually measured net or shipment weight.

Installation requirements
Parameter
Model-specific information
Installation safety
Disconnect the mains supply and prevent accidental reconnection before installation or maintenance. Have faults examined by a qualified technician; do not open the power-supply case yourself.
Ventilation and mounting
Keep ventilation clear and do not stack objects on the unit. Keep 10–15 cm clearance when the adjacent device is a heat source. Follow this model’s mounting, ambient-temperature and output-derating requirements.
System wiring and protection
Use approved primary and secondary wiring rated for at least the applicable unit current. Provide suitable system-level insulation and an enclosure around single-insulated wiring; verify EMC again in the completed system.
Environmental and load limits
Do not immerse the unit or install it near fire or above its specified ambient limit. Keep output current and power within the model’s rated operating envelope. If a fitted external flexible cable is damaged, replacement is limited to the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
Connection seals and support
If waterproof connectors are fitted, secure their connections to prevent water entry. Verify the mounting structure and luminaire strength; use safety cables for bay-light applications.
Protective-earth configuration
This Class II plastic-case model has no FG lead. Follow its two-core AC input wiring diagram; do not invent a protective-earth connection.
