Model and control configuration
Ordering code and function
HLG-150H series; 12 V output; B function: 3-in-1 dimming by 1–10 VDC, 10 V PWM or resistance.
Enclosure and output mode
IP67 metal housing; Class I design with protective earth; SELV output. Constant-current operation can drive LEDs directly; constant-voltage applications commonly use a downstream DC/DC driver. Apply the direct-LED restriction for 3-in-1 control below.
3-in-1 dimming
Use 1–10 VDC, a 10 V PWM signal at 100 Hz–3 kHz, or resistance between DIM+ and DIM−. Typical dimming-source current: 100 µA. Resistance for N drivers: 10–100 kΩ/N for the plotted 10–100% current range. Do not connect DIM− to output −V. Direct LED connection is recommended; this control is unsuitable with additional downstream drivers.
Dimming range and complete shutoff
The control plots show 10–100% output current. To obtain 0% light output, use an external mains switch or relay as shown in the datasheet. Do not assume dim-to-off from a zero-valued analog signal.
Protection and operating limits
Overcurrent and short circuit
Overcurrent: 95–108% of rated output; constant-current limiting with automatic recovery after removal of the fault. Short circuit: constant-current limiting with automatic recovery.
Overvoltage and overtemperature
Overvoltage threshold: 14–17 V. Overvoltage shuts down the output and recovers automatically or after re-power. Overtemperature shuts down the output and recovers automatically after cooling; at light or no load, AC re-power is required.
Cooling and thermal limits
Fanless free-air convection; horizontal mounting. Working case temperature Tc: −40 to +90°C, subject to derating. The ambient curve permits full load from −40 to +60°C, decreasing to 60% at +70°C. Tc is case temperature, not ambient temperature; apply both case and ambient limits.
Low-line and altitude derating
The 60 Hz static curve shows approximately 80% load at 90 VAC and 100% from 100 to 305 VAC. Above 2,000 m, reduce permitted ambient temperature by 3.5°C per additional 1,000 m for this fanless product.
Environment
Operating humidity: 20–95% RH, non-condensing. Storage: −40 to +80°C, 10–95% RH. Temperature coefficient: ±0.03%/°C over 0–60°C. Vibration: 10–500 Hz, 5G, 12 min/cycle, 72 min along each X, Y and Z axis.
Life, warranty and reliability
Typical service life exceeds 62,000 hours at Tc ≤80°C. Higher case temperature reduces life; keep within the permitted Tc limit even where the life graph extends beyond it. Seven-year warranty under stated installation and operating conditions. MTBF: 2176.1K / 166.4K hours, respectively Telcordia SR-332 and MIL-HDBK-217F at 25°C.
Performance curves
PF, THD and efficiency plots use a representative HLG-150H-48 output at Tc = 80°C. They show dependence on input and loading; use the exact HLG-150H-12B output ratings and typical efficiency above. Install behind a mains switch for the stated ErP lighting application compliance.

Installation manual requirements
Installation safety
Disconnect the mains supply and prevent accidental reconnection before installation or maintenance. Have faults examined by a qualified technician; do not open the power-supply case yourself.
Ventilation and mounting
Keep ventilation clear and do not stack objects on the unit. Keep 10–15 cm clearance when the adjacent device is a heat source. Follow this model’s mounting, ambient-temperature and output-derating requirements.
System wiring and protection
Use approved primary and secondary wiring rated for at least the applicable unit current. Provide suitable system-level insulation and an enclosure around single-insulated wiring; verify EMC again in the completed system.
Environmental and load limits
Do not immerse the unit or install it near fire or above its specified ambient limit. Keep output current and power within the model’s rated operating envelope. If a fitted external flexible cable is damaged, replacement is limited to the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
Connection seals and support
If waterproof connectors are fitted, secure their connections to prevent water entry. Verify the mounting structure and luminaire strength; use safety cables for bay-light applications.
Protective-earth installation
Connect the fitted FG/PE conductor or protective-earth terminal to PE according to this Class I model’s wiring diagram.
Controller installation
Verify the compatibility and capacity of the controller or network for this exact interface. For standalone use with dimming conductors smaller than 18 AWG (0.75 mm²), use SELV controllers/networks; contact MEAN WELL for guidance before using FELV control. Follow this model’s control wiring.
Dimming isolation
The installation manual lists this HLG family’s dimming circuit as not isolated from the secondary circuit. Follow the specified DIM wiring and controller requirements.
Confirm the exact LED load, operating temperature, control interface and installation requirements against the linked datasheet and manual before commissioning.
