Series Overview
The PLD and PCD series are compact, indoor Constant Current (CC) LED drivers featuring built-in Active Power Factor Correction (PFC). They are designed for direct integration into commercial and residential LED lighting fixtures.
-
PLD Series (Standard): Provides a stable, non-dimmable constant current output. It is highly cost-effective and ideal for standard indoor lighting applications.
-
PCD Series (Dimmable): Features built-in AC Phase-cut (TRIAC) dimming. It works seamlessly with traditional leading-edge and trailing-edge wall dimmers, making it perfect for retrofitting existing lighting circuits.
-
Class II Design: Fully isolated plastic housing with no earth ground pin required, simplifying installation.
-
Active PFC: Ensures high efficiency and minimizes harmonic distortion, complying with global lighting energy standards.

Dimming & Application Guide
Choosing between the PLD and PCD series depends entirely on your project's dimming requirements.
| Series Type |
Feature |
Best Usage Scenario |
| PLD Series |
Non-dimmable |
Standard ON/OFF LED downlights, track lights, and indoor LED panels where dimming control is not needed. |
| PCD Series |
AC Phase-cut Dimming |
Residential and commercial spaces where traditional AC wall dimmers (TRIAC) are already installed. No extra control wiring (like 0-10V or DALI) is required. |
Application Tip: The PCD series is highly recommended for retrofitting older incandescent or halogen lighting setups to LED. Because it works with standard leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers, you can simply swap out the light fixture and driver while keeping the existing wall switch.
