Thermal and environmental conditions
Case operating temperature
Tcase −40 to +85°C; maximum case temperature +85°C. This is not the ambient-temperature limit.
Cooling and ambient derating
Horizontal mounting and free-air convection. At 200 VAC, 100% load through +45°C, then 60% at +50°C; at 230 VAC, 100% through +50°C, then 60% at +55°C; above 277 VAC, 100% through +55°C, then 60% at +60°C. The curves stop at these endpoints. At rated current in the constant-power region, maximum workable ambient temperature is +50°C typical at 230 VAC.
Case-temperature load curve
The horizontal-mounting case-temperature curve shows 100% load through +85°C and stops there. Observe both case and ambient limits.
Altitude derating
Above 2000 m (6500 ft), reduce allowable ambient temperature by 3.5°C per additional 1000 m for this fanless driver.

Installation
Installation safety
Disconnect the mains supply and prevent accidental reconnection before installation or maintenance. Have faults examined by a qualified technician; do not open the power-supply case yourself.
Ventilation and mounting
Keep ventilation clear and do not stack objects on the unit. Keep 10–15 cm clearance when the adjacent device is a heat source. Follow this model’s mounting, ambient-temperature and output-derating requirements.
System wiring and protection
Use approved primary and secondary wiring rated for at least the applicable unit current. Provide suitable system-level insulation and an enclosure around single-insulated wiring; verify EMC again in the completed system.
Environmental and load limits
Do not immerse the unit or install it near fire or above its specified ambient limit. Keep output current and power within the model’s rated operating envelope. If a fitted external flexible cable is damaged, replacement is limited to the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
Connection seals and support
If waterproof connectors are fitted, secure their connections to prevent water entry. Verify the mounting structure and luminaire strength; use safety cables for bay-light applications.
Protective-earth installation
Connect the fitted FG/PE conductor to PE according to this Class I model’s wiring diagram.
Weather protection
This model is IP67 with an adjustment function and must be installed indoors or in a location sheltered from rain outdoors, as required by the installation manual. The IP rating does not permit immersion.
Controller installation
Verify controller compatibility and capacity for this exact DIM interface. The depicted control conductors are 17 AWG. If standalone dimming conductors smaller than 18 AWG are used, use only SELV controllers or networks and contact MEAN WELL before using FELV control.
Auxiliary-output identity
The A suffix immediately after 650 identifies the auxiliary-output version. Its auxiliary output is 12 V at 200 mA, with AUX+ gray and AUX− black. Keep the auxiliary circuit separate from the LED power and control interfaces and within its stated rating.
Input switching
For the catalog ErP condition, use this driver behind a switch; do not connect it permanently to the mains.
Specification conditions
Measurement conditions
Unless otherwise stated: 347 VAC input, rated current and +25°C ambient.
Performance plots
Power-factor curves are shown at Tcase +80°C. THD and efficiency plots illustrate the L output range at Tcase +80°C; use this exact model’s table values and stated load/input limits.
Accessories and supplied configuration
The applicable catalog pages do not identify a separately orderable dedicated connector or programmer code. Confirm any required programming equipment or custom build with MEAN WELL; accessories are not implied by the model description.
