CH1 supplies the load and CH2 charges the external battery. The stated power is the combined unit rating, not a separate allowance for each output. Keep the simultaneous load and charging demand within the total power rating and the applicable current and derating limits.
The CH1 current-range ceiling is not an additional output on top of the rated charging load. The CH2 column specifies rated charging current without a separate adjustable current range.
SVR1 adjusts the CH1 output voltage. Ripple and noise are measured with 20 MHz bandwidth using a 12-inch twisted pair terminated with parallel 0.1 µF and 47 µF capacitors. Voltage tolerance includes set-up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
Input and timing
Input voltage
90–264 VAC / 127–370 VDC
Input frequency
47–63 Hz
Typical efficiency
88%
Typical AC current
2 A at 115 VAC / 1.2 A at 230 VAC
Typical cold-start inrush current
35 A at 115 VAC / 70 A at 230 VAC
Leakage current

Typical hold-up time at full load
40 ms at 230 VAC / 14 ms at 115 VAC
Unless otherwise specified, catalogue measurements use 230 VAC input, rated load and 25°C ambient temperature. Set-up time is measured at the first cold start; repeated ON/OFF switching can increase the set-up time.
Battery backup and protection
Overload protection
105–150% of rated output power; hiccup mode with automatic recovery after removal of the fault
CH1 overvoltage protection
28.98–37.26 V; shutdown; reapply input power to recover
Battery low-voltage cut-off
20 ± 1 V
Battery low alarm threshold
<22 V
With AC present, the supply powers the load and charges a connected 24 V nominal battery at the same time. When AC fails, the external battery supplies the load through the backup circuit. Connect the battery to Battery + and Battery −, and the load to +V and −V.
The protection features include short circuit, overload, overvoltage, battery low-voltage cut-off and battery reverse-polarity protection by fuse. Verify battery polarity before connection; fuse protection is not a normal operating mode.
The battery is external. Select its capacity and charging requirements for the application; a battery, battery harness and standalone UPS enclosure are not specified as included with this power supply.
AC OK and battery-low relay contacts
Alarm contact rating
30 V maximum / 1 A maximum
AC OK contact, CN3 pins 1–2
Low or short when the supply is ON; high or open when the supply is OFF
Battery-low contact, CN3 pins 3–4
Low or short below 22 V battery voltage; high or open above 22 V
Use an external voltage source and resistor within the contact rating. AC OK indicates the power-supply state; Battery Low indicates the battery threshold. The AC OK relay RL1 also enters hiccup operation while overload protection is active.
Cooling, derating and environment
Cooling
Free-air convection
Working temperature
−20 to +70°C, subject to derating
Working humidity
20–90% RH, non-condensing
Storage temperature and humidity
−20 to +85°C / 10–95% RH
CH1 temperature coefficient
±0.03%/°C over 0–50°C
For this enclosed version with an L-bracket and cover, the horizontal-mounting temperature curve permits 100% load from −20°C through 40°C, then reduces linearly to 50% at 70°C.
The input-voltage curve at 60 Hz permits 80% load at 90 VAC, rising to 100% at 115 VAC and remaining at 100% through 264 VAC. Apply both the input-voltage and ambient-temperature limits.
For fanless operation above 2,000 m, reduce the permitted ambient temperature by 3.5°C per additional 1,000 m. This is an altitude-related thermal derating condition.
Vibration specification: 10–500 Hz, 2 G, 10 minutes per cycle, 60 minutes each along the X, Y and Z axes.

The PCB drawing uses a 115.8 × 64.75 mm mounting-hole pattern with four Ø3.8 mm holes. The mechanical drawing gives a general ±1 mm tolerance and shows up to 3 mm of underside pin projection; allow installation clearance accordingly.
HS2 and HS3 must not be shorted; maintain a safe isolation distance between both heat sinks and the system case. M1 is the safety-ground point. For improved EMC performance, electrically connect M1, M2, M3 and chassis ground.
Do not short −V to Battery −; keep the load-return and battery-return connections on their designated terminals.
This -C model is the enclosed assembly. Its drawing identifies cover 946B-T and L-bracket 946A-D. Use the corresponding enclosure drawing and mounting details when fitting the unit.
